SEDRIVE is a start-up company located in Göteborg, Sweden. We support our customers to develop electric drive units, as a part of the propulsion system, for different transportation applications.

Dr. Ing. Shafigh Nategh
CEO

​Shafigh founded SEDRIVE after an extensive experience in electric drive line development in different transportation segments from design to tool-chain, prototyping, testing and serial production. He was an Engineering Manager and Senior Principal Engineer in Polestar electric drive unit team, and also Principal Engineer in Volvo Cars. Before working for Volvo Cars, Shafigh held a position as Senior Engineer at ABB E-mobility, as well as electric drive designer and global product engineer at Bombardier Transportation. He has experience also in Marine/aerospace segments and worked for Rolls-Royce. Shafigh is currently Vice-chair of IEEE IES Electrical Machines Technical Committee.

Dr. Ing. Md Jahirul I.
CTO

Jahirul joined SEDRIVE as the Chief Technology Officer and Technical Expert after 20 years of extensive experience in the electrical drive unit design in automotive, rail, marine and mining. He was System Architect and senior Electromagnetic design Engineer in Volvo Cars. He worked also at ABB for more than 12 years as senior design Engineer/Scientist at corporate research and involved in several technology development projects, technology scouting, and pre-studies as a project member, project leader as well as technical lead. During his career at ABB Corporate Research, he had several experiences in different ABB Business Units, e.g. ABB E-mobility, ABB Traction Motor and ABB Motors and Generators. Jahirul received his Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in technology from Helsinki university of Technology, Finland.
